The filing contends the relationship deteriorated after she declined to carry out requests she believed crossed legal boundaries. What began as a working partnership, the suit suggests, eventually gave way to a dispute that now hinges on sharply different accounts.

In court documents, Mayers describes a series of alleged requests tied to a period of financial strain, including being asked to place certain assets in her name. She also claims she was urged to submit a false police report involving a missing vehicle and a large sum of cash, which she says she refused. That refusal, she argues, led to her dismissal and marked a turning point in their relationship. Her complaint further alleges reputational harm, including efforts to remove favorable media coverage and limit her professional standing.

Lawsuit Alleges Years of Harassment as Both Sides Dig In
